M. Christopher Boyer

After 20 years of managing social service agencies and arts organizations, M. Christopher Boyer became pastor of Good Shepherd Baptist Church in early 2005. Chris is currently chair of the Lynnwood Art Commission and has served on many community and professional boards. He continues to act as a planning and management consultant to non-profits.

Lynnwood is in the midst of a period of growth and change. Managing this tremendous opportunity will require energy, commitment, experience, teamwork and fresh thinking. I have all of these to offer the City of Lynnwood.

My professional life has been spent in service to the communities where I have lived. With over 20 years experience in managing large, medium-sized and small social service agencies and arts organizations and extensive service on boards, councils and commissions, I have a proven record in leading institutions that work for the public good. This non-profit experience has taught me to be a fiscally-prudent manager while always keeping the mission of public service foremost. It has also instilled in me a strong team ethic and consensus-building skills. I look forward to putting this team spirit to work with current civic leaders in building a city of Lynnwood that we can all be proud to call Home.
